Waverley Liberal Democrats are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person who can build our volunteer capacity and spearhead our voter contact activities.
Waverley is home to two of the party’s most winnable parliamentary seats in the country, with a clear ambition to win both the Parliamentary Constituencies of Godalming and Ash and Farnham and Bordon at the next General Election and also take control of the new West Surrey council.
You will be a natural people-person and motivator of volunteers. Reporting to the Regional Campaigns Manager, the role is based in Waverley.
You will play a key role in delivering the constituency campaign plan, as agreed between the South East Campaigns Manager and Waverley Liberal Democrats.
The successful applicant will be a self-starter, have lots of enthusiasm, good interpersonal and organisational skills, and a willingness to develop. Working closely with volunteers, councillors and candidates, key to the role is the ability to build relationships, along with training and motivating volunteers.

• Building campaigning and organisational capacity – including recruiting members, donors, deliverers and poster sites.
• Building and managing a team of constituency volunteers who oversee all aspects of capacity building and campaigning.
• Designing and delivering an ongoing programme of doorstep communication with voters.
• Assisting with the design, production, print, and coordination of delivery of campaign literature.
• Maintaining relevant databases e.g. deliverers, donors, poster sites etc.
• Organising events e.g. action days, social events, etc.
• Maintaining and updating social media, website and other digital infrastructure.
• Supporting fundraising and assisting with fundraising campaigns and events as required.
• Attending relevant conferences, training and other meetings as required.
• Reporting to Waverley executive on progress with set strategies and plans, progress with growing the membership and volunteers.
