Job Details
Global Government Forum is seeking a Data and Research Executive to support our research, data, and business intelligence team. Reporting to the Data and Insights Manager, this role provides data-driven insights, conducts research, and ensures the integrity of our business intelligence and research datasets. You will play a key role in supporting the company’s strategic objectives by delivering high-quality research outputs, business intelligence reports, and actionable insights.
You will conduct desk research and data collection, and manage and analyse business data. Your findings will help drive decisions across departments, from marketing to commercial strategy. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with a passion for data, research, and analytics in a dynamic and growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide business intelligence insights and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform strategic and operational decisions.
• Maintain and manage CRM data, ensuring accuracy and consistency for correct data use and reporting across the organisation.
• Conduct desk and telephone research for events speakers and participants for research studies.
• Assist with the design/administration of surveys.
• Support the pre-event and post-event data processes for teams across the business and provide data reports.
• Support teams across the business in effective data collection, analysis, and use of data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data and support Agile project planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, research, or business intelligence roles
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in survey design, data collection, and analysis
• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly to stakeholders
• High attention to detail ensuring data accuracy
Desirable Attributes:
• Experience working with research or data in a related sector
• Familiarity with large-scale data management tools
• Experience using PowerBI or alternative packages
• Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Excel, SPSS)
• Familiarity with Agile working principles
