The London Defence Conference is a leading geopolitical forum bringing together
friendly nations to raise the visibility and urgency of defence and security issues in an
increasingly volatile world.
Position Summary:
The London Defence Conference is seeking a full-time Partnerships
and Programming Intern with a strong interest in defence, security policy, geopolitics, or
military affairs to join our team for a three month internship. In this role, you will contribute to
the development of LDC’s growing partnerships with high-level sponsors and programming for
our annual conference taking place April 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
In Coordination with the Head of Partnerships:
● Serve as a front-facing representative of the LDC by engaging with key stakeholders,
including sponsors and partners, across meetings and events.
● Support the Head of Partnerships with administrative tasks including scheduling
meetings, responding to queries, keeping the stakeholders informed and providing
administrative support to the LDC team.
● Initiate and develop potential relationships with sponsors and partners.
In Coordination with the Programming Manager:
● Assisting in the planning and execution of our conference, including panel discussions
and side events.
● Support the Programming Manager with administrative tasks including responding to
queries and coordinating logistical arrangements for panellists.
● Help gather and organise speaker bios, headshots, presentation slides, and other session
materials.
● Maintain accurate data and documentation in programming spreadsheets, including
run-of-shows and agendas.
Skills:
● Strong political and strategic awareness, particularly in defence, national security, and
international relations.
● Exceptional organisational skills with a meticulous eye for detail and the capacity to
manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
● Outstanding communication skills – confident, professional, and persuasive in both
written and verbal exchanges.
● Calm and adaptable under pressure, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to
challenges.
● Collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced, high-profile environments and can
balance creative initiative with operational discipline.
Qualifications:
Degree in a relevant discipline - National Security, Strategic Communications,
Journalism, International Relations, War Studies, Political Science.
