Job Title: Borough Organiser

Working For: Richmond Park Labour Party and Wimbledon Labour Party

Salary: £28,867pa (0.8 of £36,084)

Length of Contract: Until end of May 2026

Job Details

The Local Organiser will be responsible for ensuring effective campaign organisation and membership mobilisation across Richmond Park and Wimbledon, working towards local elections in 2026.


Specific Responsibilities


1. To enable and empower campaign units in Richmond Park and Wimbledon to organise and campaign in their local communities and win the 2026 local elections through effective election organising, clear messaging and year round community and voter engagement.
2. To organise regular campaigning sessions and leaflet distribution with activists and volunteers.
3. To mobilise members, recruiting, developing and training teams of volunteers to deliver effective year round campaigning and organising using all available campaign methods.
4. To lead and organise campaigning activity as determined by the Wimbledon Labour Party and the Richmond Park Labour Party.
5. To work with the Regional Office where appropriate.
6. To design and produce print materials including leaflets and direct mails promoting Party activities in Wimbledon and in the Richmond Park target wards.
7. To design and deliver digital campaigns and materials, including targeted content, website management, and producing online petitions.
8. To work with candidates and local Councillors to design and deliver community campaigns with impact for residents.
9. Organising and running public events on community and campaigning issues.
10. Performing other tasks as needed.

Knowledge

• Knowledge of the values and aims of the Labour Party

Experience

• Experience of political campaigning

Skills / Ability


• Ability to work with, lead and motivate people
• Ability to work with stakeholders and members
• Knowledge of the Labour Paty’s printed campaign material
• Knowledge of digital campaigning tools
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to prioritise work according to tight deadlines
• Knowledge of Labour Party systems e.g. Contact Creator and Organise
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to the Labour Party’s code of conduct, mission and values
• Strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
