Working For: Care England

Location: London

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

Length of Contract: Permanent

Job Details

The Policy Officer plays a central role in helping the Policy Team deliver Care England’s strategic priorities across funding, workforce, regulation, integration and digital transformation. As part of a small and fast-paced team, the postholder supports a wide and exciting range of activities including policy development, consultation responses, research, parliamentary and government engagement, provider support, and stakeholder collaboration.

This is a multifaceted role suited to someone who is proactive, passionate, self-driven and able to operate both independently and collaboratively. The work is varied and fast moving: you may be drafting a national consultation response in the morning, conducting research or writing a report in the afternoon, and supporting a member meeting or external stakeholder discussion later that day. The successful candidate will thrive in a high-energy environment where they can take ownership of tasks, contribute ideas, and work closely with colleagues to design and deliver policy solutions for the sector.

The role provides an excellent foundation for developing a career in social care policy, offering exposure to senior government officials, local authorities, regulators, parliamentarians, sector partners, and hundreds of providers across England.
