Role and Responsibilities:

Conducting rigorous research; developing clear, compelling and evidence-based conference programmes that respond to current public sector priorities; building and maintaining external relationships with senior public and private sector professionals, securing high-quality speakers for each event; working collaboratively across the organisation to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle; managing conferences end-to-end, taking responsibility for timelines, milestones and delivery standards from launch through to live execution; carrying out competitor analysis for each event and maintaining awareness of wider industry and policy developments; contributing to topic generation and validation by reviewing new legislation, policy developments and relevant news and research; managing speaker relationships and acting as the main point of contact on the day of the event, whether delivered online or in person.

Skills, experience and knowledge:

Strong research capability, with the ability to understand complex policy issues and identify commercial opportunities; excellent written communication skills, including copywriting, and a confident verbal communication; a high level of attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership, seeing work through from concept to completion; commercial awareness, with a curious mind, and an interest in how research and content translate into business outcomes; a strong interest in government and public sector policy.You must also be educated to degree level and a competent user of Microsoft Office.

It would be desirable if you had practical experience contributing to the development or delivery of a conferenc and a degree in politics, public policy or a related discipline.
