Job Details
Rosie Wrighting MP is looking for a social media assistant to work part-time from her Kettering constituency office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create clear, engaging digital content across multiple platforms, including graphics and video.
- Manage and update the MP’s social media channels, ensuring a strong, responsive, and professional online presence.
- Handle public enquiries sensitively and professionally.
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of digital communications.
- Attend events and activities with the MP to capture photos, footage, and quotes
- Work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours commitments
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A strong awareness of current affairs and the political landscape
- Sensitivity and good judgment when handling complex or controversial issues
- Proven experience in digital communications, including creating and editing graphic and video content
- Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
- Strong organisational skills, able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including local, regional, and national journalists
- A full UK driving licence
- Sympathy with the aims and values of the Labour Party.
