Located in the heart of Westminster, the Parliamentary Knowledge Foundation (PKF) is a non-profit social enterprise developed under the patronage of the Speaker, dedicated to providing experiential learning that enhances MPs’ understanding of UK charities, institutions and businesses.

Overview:

This role is ideal for someone already based in Westminster who manages social media output already, who is looking for additional experience with a unique intiative working cross-party and across all layers of Parliament.

•⁠ ⁠Proven experience telling organisational and people stories across social platforms
•⁠ ⁠Ability to identify and create stories from events, visits, and interactions
•⁠ ⁠Strong visual eye for capturing authentic moments (working with photography/video)
•⁠ ⁠Understanding of tone management: balancing professional authority with warmth and accessibility
•⁠ ⁠Experience working with institutional or policy focused organisations
•⁠ ⁠Excellent written English
•⁠ ⁠Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent voice and brand standards

•⁠ ⁠Comfort operating in parliamentary or political contexts (understanding sensitivities around impartiality)
•⁠ ⁠Ability to work with multiple stakeholders (MPs, charities, businesses, institutions) and represent them fairly
•⁠ ⁠Natural storyteller who sees content opportunities others might miss
•⁠ ⁠Understanding that we facilitate rather than deliver, we connect rather than teach

The role:

•⁠ ⁠Telling four interconnected stories: the Foundation, the Schemes, the MPs, and the Partners
•⁠ ⁠Managing multiple content streams across platforms
•⁠ ⁠Capturing the human impact of knowledge sharing between Parliament and partners

Desirable:

•⁠ ⁠Photography and videography skills
•⁠ ⁠Experience with Adobe suite

Role Information:

  • Part time - 15 hours per week to be split across Mon-Friday as required.
  • Initial 6-month contract with a view to extension, renewal or permanent role for the right candidate
  • Remote working possible, but the candidate must be available to travel to London where required

Interview/Start Dates

Interviews to be held week commencing 26th Jan and 2nd Feb with a view to starting mid February, but may be earlier for the right candidate.
