Job Details

Leigh Ingham MP is looking for a motivated and community-focused Constituency Support Officer to lead outreach and engagement activity across the constituency.

This role involves working closely with local organisations, charities, community groups, and public bodies to build strong relationships, support funding opportunities, and help resolve constituency matters. You will plan and deliver outreach events, attend meetings and surgeries, manage logistics and follow-up actions, and handle constituent enquiries sensitively and professionally.

You will also support local communications, including maintaining the constituency’s online presence, producing simple digital content, and promoting news and surgeries. Analysing casework trends, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring data protection compliance are key parts of the role.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience in the charity, community, or voluntary sector
  • Knowledge of funding sources and grant applications
  • Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment
  • Good local knowledge of Stafford, Eccleshall, and surrounding villages
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Desirable:

  • Experience in a political or campaigning environment
  • Familiarity with parliamentary casework systems
  • Sympathy with Labour and Co-operative values

This role is ideal for someone motivated by fairness, social justice, and making a real difference locally. Flexible working and job share arrangements will be considered. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
