Job Details
The Oxford West and Abingdon constituency team is a small team based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. We are looking for a Senior Caseworker who has a passion for supporting local issues and casework to make sure that the people who live here have a real and genuine voice in Parliament through Layla. If you are someone who can juggle multiple demands during the day and still see the wood for the trees, while making sure the team stays focused, then we would love to meet you to discuss your skills further.

• Line management experience
• Strong organisational skills
• The ability to look at data and local issues from around the constituency and further afield and be able to draw these into clear themes and practical actions
• Organise and assist with surgeries, site visits and other meetings and follow up as appropriate
• Engage professionally, confidentially with care and integrity with members of the public
• Manage the casework workflow for self and team
• Ensure records are kept and information managed confidentially and in line with data protection legislation
• Ensure that all cases and decisions are properly documented, writing clear concise reports containing analysis, explanation of the findings and conclusions, and an appropriate action plan, to include monitoring and communication procedures.
• Liaise and engage with stakeholders
• Manage a large caseload of complex cases, working in a professional, confidential, caring and sensitive manner
• There may be requirement for the role holder to work outside of normal hours and travel for work occasionally

Interviews are provisionally scheduled for Friday 13th February 2026 with an anticipated start date of 6th April.
