Job Details
Sarah Edwards, the Member of Parliament for Tamworth, is offering a Policy Internship to support with her Constituency Office.
The Intern will work with the team to provide an excellent service to the Tamworth constituency, and support Sarah’s ongoing work around policy. Support and training will be provided.
Organisational skills, a clear focus for detail, and an interest in research and a commitment to delivering outstanding service are essential.
Sympathetic towards the Labour Party’s aims and values is desirable.
A strong link to Tamworth is preferred but not essential.
The intern’s duties may cover some, or all, of the following:
- Carrying out research not policy issues.
- Supporting policy casework.
- Monitoring local and national issues.
- Producing briefings for Sarah.
Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
