The Role
As a key member of the constituency office team, you will support the delivery of high-quality constituent casework and community engagement. Working from the constituency office, you will handle a wide range of enquiries and help ensure that every case is managed professionally, sensitively, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and respond to a high volume of enquiries from members of the public by phone, email, social media and face-to-face.
Draft clear, accurate and empathetic written responses to constituents, including complex and sensitive cases.
Gather, analyse and log relevant information to support case resolution, ensuring all actions are followed through.
Maintain accurate records and manage information confidentially, in line with data protection legislation.
Monitor case progress, escalate where necessary, and ensure timely outcomes in line with the MP’s approach.
Analyse patterns and trends in constituent enquiries and produce reports to inform priorities and engagement.
Assist with constituency surgeries, meetings and visits, including follow-up actions.
Support local engagement activity.
Monitor local news, social media and developments to keep the office informed of emerging issues.
Help organise constituency meetings, visits and events.
About You
You will be organised, calm under pressure, and confident dealing with people from all backgrounds. You’ll have strong written and verbal communication skills, good judgement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining discretion and professionalism.
Additional Information
This role is based at the constituency office, and regular on-site working is required.
Occasional evening or weekend work and travel may be required.
