Job Details
Are you someone who can drive high-impact political campaigns?
Following Labour’s historic May 2022 victory, our first administration in Wandsworth in 44 years, we’re expanding our team ahead of the May 2026 local elections.
In this role, you’ll work with Dr Rosena Allin-Khan MP and her team, collaborate with Tooting councillors and Tooting CLP executive/campaign teams, and help deliver our 2026 campaign plan to help secure a second Labour term. We’re seeking an enthusiastic and experienced candidate who can quickly get stuck-in.
Responsibilities:
- Mobilising members and supporters: Leading the drive to get people involved in our campaigns.
- Leading our campaigning: Working with our MP, Councillors and candidates to organise campaigning sessions to ensure we win in May. You'll lead on the what, why, how, and where, using data and proper targeting.
- Literature organisation: Leading on the production of literature, like direct mails from start to finish, ensuring local residents hear from our elected representatives.
- Produce regular internal and external communications.
- Fundraising: Playing your part in ensuring there are sufficient fundraising drives to raise vital funds for Tooting Labour.
- Supporting Rosena as our MP to help spread the word and give us the best chance of winning elections here in Tooting.
- Perform related tasks as required.
Experience:
You'll be a great people person, who can manage many different conflicting priorities at the same time. You've been involved in Labour campaigns before and understand basic party structures. In addition, working independently or as part of a small team doesn't faze you because you have the drive to get things done by problem solving and getting other people to help. The ideal candidate will have experience in using Labour party software, have an understanding of Wandsworth politics and have a track record of leading campaigns - however big or small.
Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
