Job Purpose

UK Finance is seeking an intern to work across our Procurement function.

You will be working with the Procurement Manager in enhancing the procurement function and delivering a range of activities (including supporting with contracts, sourcing, data analysis, etc). The procurement function at UK Finance is key in supporting our policy teams and members in delivering best in class products and services. You will also gain exposure to negotiations with suppliers to secure best pricing and contract terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Typical work you could be involved in includes:
• Developing and updating a database of contracts.
• Managing and updating procurement resources on our intranet which all colleagues use.
• Actioning important queries on contracts such as termination dates, etc.
• Manage and resolve all inquiries and issues related to the internal contract signing and execution process.
• Joining the Procurement Manager and Legal Team on negotiation calls with suppliers on price and contract terms.
• Joining meetings with Data Protection, Legal, Associate Member Team, IT, and other colleagues and taking forward actions to manage and close risks on supplier engagements.
• Keeping track of ongoing procurements.
• Providing ad-hoc analysis such as interrogation of supplier fees, analysing procurement spend across multiple UK Finance categories (e.g. IT, consultancy, etc), and completing due diligence for onboarding new suppliers.
• Supporting the Procurement Manager with training and promotion of the Procurement function across UK Finance.
