Job Details
Andy MacNae MP is looking for a committed and organised part-time Caseworker to join the team.
The Caseworker will support Andy to be an advocate for and support constituents on a range of issues. The successful applicant will be able to deal with a complex caseload and support local priorities while being supported by the Senior Caseworker Team Manager.
Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with surgeries and other meetings and follow up as appropriate.
- Deal with large numbers of standard queries, as well as assist on more complex cases from constituents.
- Draft responses to constituents.
- Ensure records are kept and information managed confidentially in line with data protection.
- Ensure that each case is dealt with promptly, sensitively, confidentially and accurately in accordance with set-out processes.
- Gather relevant information to assist with resolving cases.
- Log all cases; monitor progress and ensure all identified actions are taken.
- There may be a requirement for the role holder to work outside of the normal working hours and travel.

- Ability to draft letters and emails to a high professional standard

- Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a small team

- Sympathetic to the aims, values and objectives of the Labour Party
