Job Title: Public Affairs Account Executive/Senior Account Executive
Working For: Lansons Team Farner
Location: London
Salary: Competitive
Length of Contract: Permanent
Job Details
We are looking for an Account Executive, with flexibility to appoint at Senior Account Executive level depending on experience.
The role offers real responsibility, close exposure to senior colleagues and clients, and the opportunity to progress quickly with structured support. You will play a central role in the day to day delivery of client programmes and in building trusted client relationships.
Around 6-12 months experience in politics, public affairs, or a related policy or communications environment would give you a solid foundation for this role while continuing to develop your skills in a consultancy setting. This experience includes internships, placements, campaign work, secondments, or relevant roles in public affairs, political research, government relations, or stakeholder engagement.
You will be
- Supporting the smooth running of public affairs and communications programmes across multiple clients
- Acting as a day to day point of contact for internal teams and clients, coordinating actions and keeping work on track
- Owning defined elements of client accounts, including public policy research, monitoring, briefings, and written outputs
- Tracking political, regulatory, and media developments, and turning insight into clear analysis for clients
- Drafting high quality content such as briefings, stakeholder maps, meeting notes, consultations, and campaign materials
- Supporting stakeholder engagement activity, including events, parliamentary activity, and external meetings
- Contributing ideas to campaigns, policy positioning, and new business opportunities
- Building your network across politics, policy, media, and industry, with support from senior colleagues
What are we looking for
- We are more interested in potential and mindset than a perfect match. That said, you will likely have:
- A strong interest in politics, policy, and how public decision-making affects organisations and society
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and curious approach, with confidence asking questions and suggesting ideas
- A collaborative mindset and enjoyment of working as part of a team
- Digital and AI awareness, with interest in how new tools can support research, monitoring, and analysis
Closing Date: 17 February 2026
