Job Details
Helen Maguire MP is recruiting two paid interns for a one-month internship, rotating between the busy Westminster and constituency offices.
You will need excellent written English skills, be a self-starter and politically switched on.
The role holder will:
• Support the MP across parliamentary, policy and communications work
• Assist at parliamentary events and meetings, including note-taking
• Undertake research as directed for campaigns and policy work
• Work with the Casework team to draft policy and campaign casework replies
• Draft ministerial and constituent correspondence, including OPQs, WPQs and EDMs
• Contribute to the MP’s newsletter and social media content under instruction
• Organise constituency visits and events
• Other jobs as instructed by the Office Manager
This role offers a fast-paced introduction to parliamentary and constituency work and is ideal for candidates with strong writing, research, and organisational skills.
