Job Details
Sarah Dyke MP is seeking a new Executive Officer to work over 3 days in her Constituency Office based near Castle Cary. The successful applicant will be highly organised, self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment within a small, dynamic team. They will be customer focused, have excellent communication skills and ideally have experience in diary and/or event management.
Key responsibilities include;
- Constituency diary management.
- Assisting with arrangements for and attending events, such as MP advice surgeries, community engagement meetings and roundtable events (including sourcing and booking venues, liaising with stakeholders, managing attendee lists and providing general event support as required).
- Supporting the MP on constituency visits.
- Managing a variety of administrative tasks, including using office software (e.g. Microsoft Office and CRM systems).
- Efficient data and file management to ensure compliance with data protection legislation.
- Liaising with Government agencies, the voluntary sector and others to resolve constituency matters.
- Assist with casework as required, working in a professional, confidential, compassionate and sensitive manner.
- Triage and manage enquiries from members of the public and respond on behalf of the MP as appropriate.
There may be a requirement for the role holder to work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends and travel for work occasionally. Own transport is essential and a clean driving licence is preferred.
