Bullpen Strategy Group (BSG) is an insights-focused public affairs advocacy and strategic advisory firm specialising in analysis, communications strategy, and project management to help clients solve problems, grow, and manage risk. Beyond traditional strategic communications, we provide critical insights to help inform our clients’ strategies through communications planning, media engagement, crisis communications, research analysis, corporate due diligence, litigation support, political risk modelling, and news intelligence media monitoring.

An opportunity has arisen for a Media Intelligence Associate to join the London office of BSG. The Media Intelligence Associate will ensure clients are informed of the latest broadcasting, print and online media coverage. The Media Intelligence Associate is expected to produce updates and summaries that are comprehensive and completed to tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will:

  • Monitor broadcast, print and online and social media for breaking news and developments
  • Produce and distribute regular media summaries
  • Produce transcripts of interviews
  • Analyse media coverage to identify trends, sentiment, and key themes
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of media coverage

Capabilities and skills required:

  • Highly developed written and communication skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise
  • Experience of working successfully in a team environment
  • The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • An interest in politics, current affairs and the media environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Capabilities desired but not essential:

  • Familiar with social and broadcast monitoring tools including Tweetdeck, Critical Mention, OBS and TV Eyes
  • Some experience of working in a political environment

Please note this job requires three days a week in the office.
