Job Title: Constituency Casework Intern X2

Salary: Pro rata, equivalent to £25,000 per annum

What you will be doing

• Assist with surgeries and other meetings and follow up as appropriate.
• Attend constituency meetings as required.
• Deal with large volumes of standard queries, as well as assist with more complex cases from members of the public via phone, email, or face-to-face. Ongoing communication may be required.
• Draft responses to constituents.
• Retain records and information confidentially and in line with the Data Protection Act.
• There may be a requirement to work outside normal working hours and to travel occasionally for work.
• Assist with surgeries and other meetings and follow up as appropriate
• Develop knowledge in specialist areas.
• Research local, regional, or national issues to support MP's work.
Additional Responsibilities
• Database management using software to handle administrative cases.
• Contribute to the MPs projects in the constituency, and the MPs work in Parliament, such as by doing research, contributing to speeches, preparing materials and preparing correspondence with stakeholders including Government Ministers.

• Familiarity with the Wokingham constituency or local area
• Previous volunteering, customer service, or support experience
• Sympathy with the values and aims of the Liberal Democrats
