An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Tony Vaughan MP’s small and dedicated constituency team. We’re looking for an organised, enthusiastic and community-minded person to help support the vital work we do for local residents and organisations across Folkestone, Hythe and Romney Marsh.

This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and helping make a difference in their community. You’ll play a key role in keeping the office running efficiently and ensuring that constituents receive timely, responsive and high-quality information and support.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out a wide range of administrative tasks to support the daily functioning of the constituency office.
  • Deliver written materials, including responses to constituents, newsletters, and community updates.
  • Assist in organising local meetings, events and visits.
  • Engage directly with individuals, local organisations, and stakeholders to help Tony build strong local relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records and help manage correspondence and enquiries.

Skills and experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
  • Friendly, professional manner and commitment to public service.
  • Confident using IT tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook, casework database systems).
  • A good knowledge of the constituency and local issues is required.
  • A full driving licence and a car would greatly assist.

Interview/Start Dates
