Job Title: Administrative Officer

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000

Job Details
This is a junior role designed for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills who would welcome the opportunity to learn and develop within a dynamic environment. Training will be provided.
Key responsibilities:
- Diary Management
- Provide administrative support to the MP, his team and interest groups as required
- Assist with arrangements for events, including providing on the day support as required
- Manage and monitor incoming calls and emails
- Assist with the compilation of briefing packs
- Database management and using office software (e.g. Microsoft Office) to handle administrative cases
- Efficient data and file management to ensure the office complies with the data protection legislation
- Minute taking
- Use of video editing software
There may be a requirement for the role holder to work outside of the normal working hours.
The successful applicant will be required to work from both the Westminster and constituency offices on a regular basis.
Skills and experience:
Candidates should ideally be able to demonstrate:
- Proven organisational and administrative skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- An interest in politics and political process
- Knowledge of Parliamentary process and/or the Runnymede and Weybridge constituency is desirable.
