The Chief of Staff will provide high-level administrative, organisational, and project support to the
Directors of Ascalane Partners. The role requires a highly organised, discreet, and proactive individual capable of operating in a fast-paced environment, managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings and engagements, and supporting the delivery of client and internal projects.
Working closely with the Directors and wider team, the Chief of Staff will act as a central point of contact for key stakeholders, helping to manage relationships with clients, partners, and external advisers. The role combines traditional executive support with hands-on involvement in project coordination, ensuring priorities are met, communications are handled with sound judgment, and the day-to-day operations of the firm run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership Support
● Act as a trusted right hand to the Directors, helping to prioritise time, focus, and resources across
client work, internal initiatives, and external engagements.
● Maintain oversight of competing priorities, anticipating pinch points and ensuring decisions and
actions are progressed efficiently.
Diary, Time & Workflow Management
● Manage complex and fast-moving schedules across multiple workstreams, clients, and
stakeholders.
● Coordinate travel, logistics, and briefing materials to ensure the Directors are prepared for
meetings and engagements.
Stakeholder Management & External Liaison
● Act as a central point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, advisers, and
external collaborators.
● Manage communications professionally and with discretion, ensuring timely responses and clear
follow-through.
Project & Client Work Support
● Support the coordination and delivery of client and internal projects, including tracking milestones, deadlines, and outputs.
● Assist with the preparation of briefings, summaries, presentations, and analysis for client
engagements.
Communications & Materials
● Draft, review, and quality-check correspondence, briefings, and presentation materials on behalf
of the Directors.
● Support the firm’s communications activity where required, including coordinating content and
monitoring engagement.
Office & Business Operations
● Oversee core administrative and operational processes, ensuring the smooth running of the firm
day to day.
