About the Role

If you’re passionate about politics and public policy, join our political intelligence team at Dods. We are recruiting a Consultant for the Economy and Financial Services portfolio, covering HM Treasury and parts of the Department for Work and Pensions. Please outline any relevant expertise in your application.

You will deliver high-quality political intelligence, helping clients stay ahead of developments across Westminster and the devolved institutions. Working in a fast-moving political environment, you’ll provide timely analysis of legislation, government policy and key stakeholders.

You will work alongside specialist consultants, each an expert in their field, providing daily “finger-on-the-pulse” analysis and tailored advice to a diverse portfolio of clients across corporate, government and charity sectors. Over time, you will build your reputation as a trusted authority in your policy area, with opportunities to contribute articles to media publications and participate in panel discussions or broadcast commentary.

This hybrid role is based in our Borough, London office, with typically 2–3 days per week in the office. Our culture is collaborative and supportive, with colleagues working closely across teams to ensure excellent client service.

At Dods, we focus on Collaboration, Continuous Improvement and Customers. We value initiative and creativity in delivering intelligence and support professional development through dedicated learning and development funding. While we are exploring new technologies, it is our people and client relationships that set us apart.

What We’re Looking For

You will have a strong understanding of UK parliamentary procedure and the political landscape, with particular interest in economic and financial services policy. You should be able to analyse complex information quickly and accurately, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with confidence working with clients. A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is required. You should be IT literate, proactive and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to deliver first-rate political intelligence, we would love to hear from you.

Closing Date: 2 March 2026
