We're looking for an Administrative Officer to join our award-winning MP office team in Eastbourne!

What you'll get up to will include:

  • Overseeing Josh's inbox, post and telephone correspondence, triaging messages so that they can be actioned ASAP
  • Managing Josh's diary
  • Producing briefings for Josh's events and engagements, ensuring he has all the information he needs for every engagement in his busy schedule

  • Supporting the casework team with onboarding cases on to our system to be actioned

What we're after from you:

You know how to get things done
You’re hot on deadlines, can bash out a strong email in no time, and aren’t afraid to just pick up the phone to whoever to get a task over the line. You’re comfortable handling routine tasks with consistency and care and take pride in getting the fundamentals right, every single time. You may have proven your skills in an admin role, or as a PA or EA.

You can multitask with ease
You’re organised enough to manage lots of simultaneous demands from residents, the staff team and Josh without losing your cool, losing sight of your goals, nor losing your magic touch. You get a kick out of staying on top of a high volume of inbounds, prioritise tasks with clarity and confidence, and are always one step ahead, solving problems before they surface. You might even be a fan of project management tools like Monday.com.

You’re tech savvy
You’re a digital demon when it comes to diary management, inbox management, file storage and other office systems. You’re comfortable with trialling new tech, and might even be geeky about using AI to boost efficiency.

You care enough to get stuck right in
You’re invested in our mission to support the people of Eastbourne, and to help Josh to be the best MP he can be. You’re prepared to roll up your sleeves and make a positive difference in the town.

Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
