Salary: £27,600 - £29,400 FTE. Actual salary will be pro rata for 30 hours per week.

Purpose of the Role

To provide outstanding support to the Member of Parliament to engage with constituents, businesses, stakeholders across Telford including coordinating and deliver high-quality constituency visits, events and stakeholder engagement.

To resolve routine casework and policy enquires and provide administrative support to the Head of Office and Deputy Head of Office on events and projects, including the Pride in Place Investment in South Telford. 

Key Responsibilities

Events & Visits – Operational Delivery
• Coordinate and deliver constituency visits and events as directed by the Head of Office.
• Manage logistics
• Prepare briefing materials 
• Ensure all engagement activity complies with IPSA rules and parliamentary guidance.
• Maintain accurate records of visits, attendance and follow-up actions.

Stakeholder Liaison – Relationship Maintenance
• Maintain regular contact with key local stakeholders as directed.
• Update and manage the stakeholder database and engagement tracker.
• Identify potential engagement opportunities and escalate 
• Support roundtables and listening events by coordinating logistics and capturing outcomes.

Internal Coordination
• Work collaboratively with casework and communications colleagues.
• Provide structured post-event reports and action logs to the Head of Office.
• Represent the office at external meetings only when agreed in advance.

Casework
• To resolve routine casework enquires, from social media, phone, events and emails
• To provide additional capacity at times of high demand or staff leave

Engagement
• To provide support to the Communication Manager on key projects, events and priorities including the Pride of Place in South Telford

Person Specification

Essential
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Experience coordinating events or stakeholder engagement.
• Professional judgement and discretion.
• Ability to operate within clear reporting structures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Labour Party.

Desirable
• Knowledge of Telford and local services.
• Understanding of parliamentary offices and IPSA funding rules.
• Communication experience
• Project management background
