Job Details

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic research: gather, synthesise, and present information on clients’ big strategic questions by analysing qualitative and quantitative data, and conducting stakeholder interviews and surveys. Able to reflect on strategic implications of research findings.
  • Problem solving and analysis: identify clients’ needs, create hypotheses, and deliver analysis that translates data into meaningful insights.
  • Developing high quality outputs: develop well-structured written arguments and recommendations to address our clients’ needs.
  • Client engagement: communicate with clients and their stakeholders, support with managing client expectations and presenting recommendations.
  • Business development: support the development of proposals for new work, engage with potential client organisations, and contribute to our thought leadership.
  • Project management: schedule and track project activities, timescales, and deliverables of multiple projects against deadlines.
  • Communications and marketing: support thought leadership activity, produce case studies, and draft the Firetail briefing.
  • Supporting internal initiatives: help to deliver internal priorities, such as contributing to knowledge sharing, recruitment activities, team development, and internal improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and experience
Required

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects, activities, or workstreams.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience.

  • You bring research skills and experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of information from primary and secondary sources.
  • You are able to grasp clients’ needs, understand complex and cross-cutting problems, reach conclusions, and draft relevant recommendations.
  • You are able to reflect on the strategic implications of analysis findings and think critically about how findings relate to client strategies.
  • You have excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.
  • You are able to work independently as well as in project teams in an international environment.
  • You are confident working independently and proactive when working with uncertainty and unfamiliar topics.
  • You can prioritise and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
