Job Details

Neil Coyle MP is looking for a Caseworker based in his busy constituency office. The successful applicant will have experience in a similar role and must possess the ability to manage and prioritise their workload and be administratively self-sufficient.

Main Responsibilities:
- To provide information, advice, and support to constituents on a variety of issues and liaise with government agencies, the voluntary sector and others to help resolve matters for constituents
Job Specification:

Key responsibilities will include:

- Manage caseload and ensure all cases are dealt with in a swift, sensitive and confidential manner
- Draft responses and respond to constituents on any issues raised by them and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant guidelines/legislation
- Assisting with local campaign work
- Community and stakeholder engagement, including helping to organise local events
- Assisting to draft key constituency communications including case updates
- Assisting with advice and outreach surgeries and meetings
- Liaising with national and local government agencies, the voluntary sector and others to resolve issues and responding to routine correspondence and enquiries from constituents and local organisations
- Ensuring all cases are logged, monitoring progress and taking appropriate actions and ensuring all information is managed in line with GPDR
-Any other tasks commensurate with the role

Person Specification:

- Empathetic, tactful and sensitive when dealing with constituent enquiries
- Ability to prioritise workload according to strict deadlines with a strong attention to detail
- Action focused and able to work effectively as part of a busy, fast paced team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confident interacting with people at all levels
- Competent in use of digital software, including Microsoft Office and Caseworker
