Working Pattern: 24 hours per week
Working throughout the week including Thursday mornings and full day Friday and occasionally working at the weekend.

About the Role
Pippa Heylings, Member of Parliament for South Cambridgeshire, is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Caseworker to join her constituency team. This is a frontline role supporting local residents, businesses and community groups by providing advice, resolving problems, and ensuring their concerns are heard.

You will work closely with Pippa and the team to deliver a high-quality service to constituents, helping people navigate complex issues and access the support they need.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload, responding to mass campaigns, policy enquiries and standard queries, as well as supporting more complex individual cases.
• Provide timely, sensitive and confidential support to constituents by email, phone and in person.
• Contributing to one of Pippa’s campaigns (SEND, cost of living or save the high street)
• Liaise with government departments, local authorities, charities and other organisations to progress and resolve cases.
• Log and track all casework, ensuring actions are completed and constituents are kept informed.
• Gather relevant information to support case resolution.
• Support the planning and delivery of constituency surgeries, including preparing briefings, attending with Pippa, taking notes and following up actions.
• Travel within the constituency for meetings and surgeries as required.
• Occasionally work outside normal hours and travel to London when required.

About You
• Flexible and calm under pressure, especially during busy periods.
• Empathetic, confident and adaptable in your communication style.
• Experienced in a customer facing, advisory or casework environment (paid, voluntary or elected).
• Aligned with Pippa’s and the Liberal Democrats’ values and priorities.
• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals or handling complex enquiries
• Knowledge of local issues in South Cambridgeshire.
• Working familiarity and usage of AI

Essential 
• Right to work in the UK
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Full driving licence and access to a car
• Ability to handle confidential information in line with the Data Protection Act.
