Job Details
The applicant will be working as part of the CWEIC Management Team. The applicant will be responsible for managing the diaries of our Board Members and Advisory Board Members on CWEIC business, supporting the Chief of Staff in managing the CEO’s diary, and coordinating with the rest of the team and preparing briefings as needed.
The applicant will also take responsibility for the scheduling of Board Meetings, and working with the wider team to produce board papers. Organising travel, and the programmes of meetings for the Board, will also form a part of the role, as well as contributing to the wider management and operations of CWEIC.
The applicant will support the Director of Operations in managing the day-to-day needs of the organisation, managing stationary stocks and office facilities. They will provide support on various financial and HR requirements, such as staff expenses and, holiday recording, and time sheets. They will also support the wider team in event and programme delivery.
Applicants should be experienced in diary management, have good desk research skills, good written skills, excellent IT and office skills, and be confident on the phone. International experience would be a plus, but is not essential.

The role will suite a candidate who is outgoing, enthusiastic and enjoys interacting with a wide range of people. CWEIC organises events both in the UK and across the Commonwealth; a general interest in foreign affairs and the international trade agenda would also be beneficial in the role.
We are looking for applicants who can commit to a full-time role from the end of February 2026. Applicants should have the right to work in the UK. Some travel outside the EU may be required in this role.
