Matthew Patrick MP is looking to appoint an organised and motivated Caseworker and Comms Officer to join his constituency office team.
As well as Casework, the post will also include support on comms and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deal with large numbers of standard queries, as well as assisting on more complex cases from members of the public by phone, email, social media, or face to face.
• Ensure cases are logged, monitored, progressed, and all identified actions are taken.
• Ensure all cases are dealt with sensitively, confidentially and accurately, and in a timely manner in accordance with our policies and data protection legislation.
• Liaise with Government agencies, voluntary sector, and others to assist in the resolution of constituency matters.
• Assist with arranging of constituency engagement events including coffee mornings and surgeries.
• Support on producing video, written & other digital content for social media channels and website, publicising Matthew’s work in the constituency.
Person & Job Specification:
• Experience of a public facing customer service or casework role preferred.
• Competent use of IT, including casework management systems, Microsoft Office package, email, and internet to perform duties.
• Experience of editing content and using software such as Canva.
• Well organised and able to prioritise, plan and respond to a high volume of diverse work.
• Good telephone and face to face manner and the ability to demonstrate patience and empathy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Highly motivated individual, who can manage and prioritise a demanding workload, take initiative and meet deadlines.
• Reliable, diligent and professional in always representing the MP and office.
• Able to build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Labour Party.
• There may be requirement for the role holder to work outside of normal hours occasionally.
