Job Details
The successful candidate will support Sir Jeremy's work in the constituency, working alongside a dynamic team based in the constituency and in the Westminster Office.
An ideal candidate will be familiar with the constituency and have a good knowledge of local issues and campaigns which Sir Jeremy is involved with, but this is not a vital requirement. A candidate will be willing to work hard, learn from others, and be a good team player.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Attending surgeries and other meetings as appropriate
• Dealing with standard queries from members of the public
• Drafting written responses to constituents
• Gathering relevant information to assist with resolving cases
• Logging cases, monitoring progress and ensuring all identified actions are taken
• Retaining records and information confidentially and in line with the Data Protection Act
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload
Experience required:
• Proven experience of producing high quality correspondence or writing
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office. Experience using caseworker.mp or other similar casework management software would also be a significant advantage
• A knowledge of Kenilworth and Southam would be advantageous
• Ability to work well in a team
• Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Conservative Party
Additional Information:
• Occasional travel between Westminster and the constituency will be required
