At Smart Energy GB, we aim to engage and communicate with our diverse nation about the smart meter rollout across England, Scotland, and Wales. We are an independent organisation set up by the government to deliver the national public engagement campaign, raise awareness of smart meters and drive adoption of this technology in everyone's homes. Smart meters are essential building blocks in the creation of a cleaner, greener energy system for the future.

We are looking for a detail-orientated and organised Public Affairs Officer, with the ability to produce high‑quality written materials that require minimal revision and are aligned with SEGB’s tone and quality standards, and with excellent communication skills, to join our team in our London office!

Working within our Corporate Affairs team, you’ll be working on public affairs projects across England, Scotland and Wales to inform opinion-formers in politics and third, public and private sectors, and persuade them to advocate for the benefits of smart meters. You will help to deliver a dynamic programme of innovative communications, events and materials which will bring the importance of smart meters to life, galvanise support and get opinion‑formers across the country behind smart meters.
