Due to continued growth and new client wins, the Health & Life Sciences team at 5654 & Company is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our expanding team. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2-3 years agency or relevant in-house experience and a genuine interest in the health and life sciences sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agency or in-house communications with experience working in either financial PR, corporate communications, public affairs and policy and/or marketing communications. The ideal candidate will have a track record of supporting the delivery of integrated communications campaigns across different channels.

The role – Account Manager, Health & Life Sciences

• Responsible for high quality day-to-day deliverables on client accounts.
• Manage and support the delivery of multi-channel communications campaigns for clients.
• A deep understanding of our clients’ objectives, providing insight, analysis and advice to clients day-to-day and to contribute to client meetings.
• Support and work closely with senior members of the health and life sciences team to deliver a consistent high standard of work for clients.
• Nurture and maintain relationships with junior members of the health and life sciences team, including providing clear guidance and feedback.
• Play a key supporting role within the team on new business opportunities.

We’re looking for candidates with:

• A minimum of 2-3+ years’ experience in a communications role, preferably at a communications agency or relevant in-house role, is essential.
• A keen interest in the health and life sciences sector from a scientific, investor or policy perspective.
• A passion for a fast-paced and varied working environment, such as in a busy press office, in-house communications team or PR agency.
• Experience or interest in media relations, thought leadership, messaging, and delivering impactful campaigns across multiple communication channels.
• Excellent writing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience using tools and databases like Roxhill, Meltwater or Signal (or similar)
• A good understanding of the health and business media (at a national, regional and trade level).
