We work with stakeholders and supporters from across the liberal movement and environment sector to develop ideas, share resources, and create platforms to ensure these values guide practical solutions to today’s environmental challenges.

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Programme Officer to support the delivery of LDNC’s programmes and campaigns. This role involves supporting the development of policy briefings, stakeholder engagement, communications, and event delivery to help increase political ambition on nature recovery and climate action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of LDNC campaigns and programmes.
  • Assist in producing policy briefings, research, and practical resources.
  • Monitor developments in climate and environmental policy.
  • Support stakeholder engagement with parliamentarians, policymakers, and environmental organisations.
  • Assist with organising events such as roundtables and workshops.
  • Support communications including social media, newsletters, and website content.
  • Assist with project management, reporting, and organisational administration.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Strong interest in climate and environmental policy
  • Commitment to liberal values
  • Excellent research and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Desirable

  • Experience in politics, public policy, think tanks, or the environmental sector
  • Experience coordinating projects or programmes
  • Knowledge of UK environmental policy and political processes
  • Experience organising events or stakeholder engagement activities
