Chris Vince MP is looking to appoint a motivated Caseworker to join his constituency team in Harlow. Working alongside the Senior Caseworker, you will be required to handle casework both empathetically and effectively. The role will include liaising with third parties including government departments, local authorities and others. It's ideal for someone who wants to make a real impact in the lives of residents in Harlow.
A successful caseworker will be able to prioritise workload, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to constituent concerns. You will maintain accurate records via the online caseworker system, draft correspondence, and contribute to the smooth running of the MP’s office.
Experience in casework is ideal. Experience in a similar role providing advice to individuals will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
• Dealing with large numbers of standard queries, as well as assisting on more complex cases from members of the public by phone, email, or face-to-face. Cases often require ongoing communication
• Drafting responses to constituents
• Ensuring records are kept and information is managed confidentially in line with the Data Protection Act
• Ensuring that each case is dealt with in accordance with the MP
• Gathering relevant information to assist with resolving cases
• Logging all cases; monitoring progress and ensuring all identified actions are taken
• Undertaking any reasonable request from the Member of Parliament
There may be a requirement for the role holder to work outside of the normal working hours and travel for work occasionally.
