Tris Osborne MP is seeking a proactive, creative, and highly organised Communications and Administrative Officer to support the delivery of engaging communications and effective constituency operations.
This is a varied role combining communications, digital content, and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring the MP’s work is communicated clearly and effectively to constituents.
You will work under the guidance of the Parliamentary Assistant, who leads overall communications and digital strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of communications and digital content across constituency and Westminster activity
- Support the managing of the MP’s website and monitor social media channels
- Create and publish digital content, including graphics, short videos, newsletters (digital and print), and online updates
- Provide proactive communications support for local issue-based campaigns
- Accompany the MP to visits and events, facilitating arrangements and capturing content
- Provide general administrative support, including diary assistance, correspondence, and office organisation
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure communications are timely, accurate, and effective
Essential Skills and Experience
- Educated in a communications-related subject (e.g. media production, journalism, etc) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Experience in digital content creation and delivery
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A strong willingness to learn and collaborate under tight deadlines
Desirable
- Experience managing websites and social media platforms
- Experience in a political, campaign or public affairs environment
Additional Information
- The role is primarily based in the constituency, with some travel to Westminster required.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary
