Labour MP Alex Mayer is seeking a paid intern for her office.

You will need to be confident picking up the phone and have excellent written English skills.

We’re looking for a resilient self-starter who is politically switched on.

This internship will include:

• Organising constituency engagements
• Replying swiftly to casework and policy emails, letters, and survey responses with well written, accurate and politically astute responses
• Collating information for briefings and diary management
• Learning how to draft Parliamentary Questions

Applicants should have a proven commitment to the aims of the Labour Party and trade union movement.

The intern will be given a parliamentary laptop. Training will be provided.

Our previous interns have gone on to find permanent roles in MP offices and so this could be a great stepping stone for you too.
