Labour to Win is the organising body for those in the party committed to building the broadest possible coalition who believe a better future is possible under Labour for the country. It is a joint venture formed by two organisations: Labour First and Progress. Through campaigning, organising, and political education, we empower members to fight for transformative change—inside and outside Parliament.

We are now looking for a motivated Organiser to support Labour to Win in organising Labour’s moderates and internal election campaigns. The main focus will be raising additional funding over the next 3 months and preparing for Labour to Win’s presence at annual conference. Some support for mobilisation for the NEC elections will be expected.

TASKS

  • Day to day management of Labour to Win administrative and office- related tasks that will include managing data bases; recording expenses and tracking expenditure for conference
  • Build on recent fundraising activity with specific focus on a fundraising dinner before summer recess
  • Work with and support Labour First’s staff to help drive our mobilisation for the internal elections taking place via OMOV this summer/ in ballots of delegates at Annual Conference.
  • Managing the website, social media communications and the databases of supporters and slates as well as weekly emails.
  • Manage our presence at Labour Conference - mobilise our volunteers; organise the LTW rally; provision of a daily briefing and lead on its distribution; organise the daily delegates briefing.

Person Specification

  • A keen interest and commitment to the Labour party.
  • Ability to use Excel and other software packages
  • Experience of mobilisation within the political process
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge of current affairs and in political processes.
  • Some experience of managing volunteers

9:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday with at least two days a week expected in the London office. Working away from home will be required at the Labour Party Annual Conference and other events as requested by the directors of Labour to Win.You will be reporting to Issy Waite, on a day-to-day basis with targets and work plans set by the Directors of Labour to Win.
