Job Details

Frank McNally MP is looking for a skilled Parliamentary and Constituency Researcher to support his work in parliament and in the Coatbridge and Bellshill constituency.

Key responsibilities

• Support parliamentary and constituency processes, including drafting and submitting written parliamentary questions, 10 Minute Rule Bills, Petitions, Urgent Questions etc.
• Support with speeches and other parliamentary activities
• Identify political, policy and campaign opportunities in Westminster and across the Coatbridge and Bellshill constituency
• Prepare high-quality briefings and draft questions for parliamentary business, including Urgent Questions and Ministerial Statements
• Monitor and respond to emerging issues
• Support with the production of impactful communication
• Support with policy casework, ensuring timely, high-quality responses to constituents
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including charities, businesses and community groups
• Work closely with the Senior Parliamentary Adviser on delivering impactful communications
• Undertake research on relevant subjects as necessary
• Work with the MP and other members of the team to identify potential impacts from the research work and disseminate effectively
• There may be a requirement for the role holder to work outside of normal working hours and travel for work occasionally
