Stephanie Peacock MP is looking for a Digital Content and Communications Officer to work in her London office. The role would require a creative, proactive and experienced individual who is able to create engaging content from Stephanie’s work to share with residents and across her social media channels.
This is an exciting opportunity to support Stephanie in her work as the MP for Barnsley South.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high quality, high engagement, video and digital content to promote the MP’s’ work and campaigns – including filming and editing short-form and long-form pieces tailored for a range of channels, including Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok
• Produce original visual content for social media using software such as Adobe Premier Pro and Canva
• Proactively lead on a digital strategy, including planning, creating and developing engaging content across a wide range of channels
• Edit and subtitle video clips
• Produce a monthly digital newsletter
• Manage Stephanie’s website and monitor social media channels
• Suggest content ideas, formats and trends to grow reach and engagement
• Manage relationships with media and draft long and short form content for media, where relevant
• Provide proactive communications support for local issue-based campaigns
• Support in responding to residents’ campaign enquiries

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Strong skills and experience in digital content creation and delivery
• Understanding of digital media trends
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and use initiative, with good attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
