We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and diligent people to join our phone bank team to help ensure the Labour Party takes action to implement Proportional Representation for UK general elections.

We will have telephone outreach campaigns operating in the coming weeks and months, during which agents are able to independently decide their own hours and work patterns (with full flexibility between the hours of 9am and 9pm, Monday-Sunday, while our campaigns are live). An average campaign lasts 1-2 weeks.

The calls you will be making are made to ‘warm’ contacts: Labour and affiliated trade union members who have opted-in and are likely to be interested in politics, electoral reform, and our campaign. The aim of the conversation will be to collect views and information - and to invite contacts to take key campaign actions while offering support and guidance.

The role is suitable for individuals who would like to be a key part of an ambitious political campaign while earning income to a schedule that is flexible around their availability. Some basic knowledge and experience of the Labour Party, and basic familiarity with British politics and elections, is an advantage - as is personal commitment to our goals. Experience of phone-banking, call centre work, customer service roles or similar is helpful, but not essential.

Calls are made from home via a computer with a microphone (as you would use for a videoconference). Full training will be provided on how to use the system, make calls, record outcomes and keep in touch with the Campaign Organiser - to whom the role reports.
In addition to the normal hourly rate, this role pays one hour for every eight hours worked in lieu of holiday.
