Job Details

The Reform UK team in Parliament are looking to recruit a policy assistant and caseworker to work across the 8 MPs to support them in responding to policy inquiries relating to their work as Members of Parliament. 

The successful candidate will be independent, proactive and hardworking, with strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. They must be literate and have a working knowledge of relevant policy issues and their impact on MPs' constituencies. 

The job will involve:
• Drafting policy-related correspondence on behalf of the Reform UK MPs 
• Working as part of a larger team to manage policy issues and inquiries 
• Managing the Reform UK policy casework database in Parliament  
• Working with the Reform UK team in Parliament and with the policy team at HQ to develop policy in response to an ever-changing political landscape 
• Providing information and advice to the team on a wide range of issues, including supporting the whipping operation in the House of Commons 
• Dealing with some general casework where required
• Assisting in Westminster with research projects
• Assisting with other duties as and when required

The successful applicant will have:
• Experience of dealing with members of the public, with a good standard of literacy 
• Very high levels of self-organisation, a strong work ethic and the capacity to deal with large workloads
• Ability to work independently and take the initiative, as well as work as part of a team
• A willingness to work long hours if necessary, with some evening work 
• A track record of support for Reform UK's aims and values

Interview/Start Dates

Interviews will take place on a rolling basis with a view to starting before the summer parliamentary recess. 

There will be a two-stage interview process, including a written task and an in-person interview.
