Tussell is the trusted source of insight into UK government contracts, a market worth over £270bn in 2025. Our software helps companies win more public contracts by making better commercial decisions, and our data is so reliable that even government uses it to track procurement.
Since 2018, Tussell data has been cited in the press over 1,900 times, reflecting public interest in taxpayer-funded contracts. By improving transparency in public procurement, we help make the market more efficient and competitive.
Tussell is founder-led, entrepreneurial and focused on sustainable growth through customer sales. We are a team of 37, with an average age of 29, so it is a dynamic environment where you will know everyone’s name.
We’re hiring a Data Researcher to turn public procurement data into accurate, commercially useful dashboards, reports and insights. You’ll use Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python and Excel to clean data, build visualisations, identify trends and improve analysis quality.
This is a technical role in a small, collaborative team. Your core focus will be data analysis, dashboards, reporting and insight generation, while also communicating findings clearly to non-technical colleagues and supporting customer, press or event outputs.
You’ll analyse procurement datasets, build and maintain customer-facing dashboards, improve data quality, identify errors or gaps, and work with the Data Team to make Tussell’s datasets more reliable. You’ll also look for opportunities to automate repetitive reporting tasks and turn analysis into clear findings that help suppliers make better commercial decisions.
We’re looking for someone with around 1 year of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, research analyst or similar data-heavy role. You should have experience building dashboards in Power BI or Tableau, working knowledge of SQL, strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, and the ability to clean, validate and sense-check messy datasets. You’ll be detail-oriented, curious, comfortable working independently, and able to explain findings clearly to non-technical audiences. Full right to work in the UK is required. Python experience, especially APIs or automation, is desirable.
