The Fabian Society is a membership organisation, and think tank. We are committed to building a more equal economy and society. We believe that ideas matter, and that change is possible.
About the role:
The Director will work closely with the Co-Chairs and the Executive Committee, to plan and deliver an impactful work programme. The successful candidate will both represent Scottish Fabians externally, building strong relationships with Scottish Labour and other key partners, and lead on engagement with members, helping to grow our membership. The role involves commissioning and producing high quality reports and pamphlets, organizing high-impact events and conferences, and leading our communications.
About you:
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of Scottish politics, and good connections with Scottish Labour. The role requires exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. We are looking for someone with experience of organising successful events, and producing written outputs for a variety of audiences. We’re seeking strategic thinker and a self-starter, who can work effectively with little supervision.
The role offers excellent opportunity both for delivering impact and for personal development. It is highly flexible, and can be worked alongside other jobs or commitments.
