About Us
Hope for the Future (HFTF) is a dynamic climate charity empowering communities and campaigns to communicate effectively with politicians. Over the past decade, we have supported over 10,000 people to engage with politics and tangibly influence environmental policy.

Our Commitment to Inclusion
We warmly welcome applications from everyone and celebrate diversity across all backgrounds. If you don’t meet every single requirement listed below, please don't let that deter you—we would still love to hear from you.

What We Are Looking For
We need a resourceful, self-motivated fundraising professional who can hit the ground running. Because this is a 10-month maternity cover, you should be confident stepping into an established system and maintaining our income momentum. You will be a brilliant relationship builder, an organised manager of data, and an excellent communicator who collaborates naturally across a passionate, small team.

The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will step into an established, successful system to maintain our income momentum. Your time will be split between:

  • Securing Income: Writing high-quality trust and grant applications (targeting five- and six-figure funding) and producing impact reports.
  • Pipeline Management: Tracking fundraising goals and managing data via our CRM (Beacon).
  • Earned Income & Comms: Overseeing paid consultancy tracking and line-managing our part-time Digital Communications Coordinator.
  • Strategy: Collaborating with the CEO to lay the groundwork for our next strategic funding cycle.

You will have:

  • A proven track record of securing five- or six-figure trust and grant funding.
  • Exceptional written communication and narrative storytelling skills.
  • Strong pipeline management skills, comfortable working with CRMs and spreadsheets.
  • Experience line-managing, mentoring, or supporting staff to succeed.
  • The ability to balance day-to-day writing tasks with big-picture financial targets.
  • A genuine commitment to climate action and democratic engagement.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience supporting corporate partnerships or earned/consultancy income streams.
  • Familiarity with Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks.
  • An understanding of UK climate policy, nature campaigning, or the UK political system.

Closing Date: 13 July 2026
