We’re looking for a Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager to lead a talented public affairs and campaigns team on a fixed term contract.
Homebased, UK, Nationwide, with occasional travel (may include team meetings)
Salary Circa £45,000 pa (inner £3,950/outer London weighting £2,457 pa may be applied in accordance with where you live), 35 hours per week, 12-month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

We provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year. This includes 1:1, group support, funding vital scientific research into stroke prevention, acute treatment, recovery and long-term care, and campaigning to secure the best care for everyone affected by stroke.
About the Role
You will lead the advocacy work to influence the UK Government and stakeholders and create and deliver highly effective campaigns to make stroke a national priority. Working with the Policy and Influencing team, devolved nations’ leads and locality teams, you will ensure alignment across the devolved nations and support local influencing and campaigning line with strategic priorities.
About You
As Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager, you will be experienced in coordinating public affairs and campaigns and be willing to undertake training and continuing professional development.
You will ideally have experience of:
• Influencing public policy and/or government decision-making locally and nationally
• Developing and implementing effective, evidence-based influencing campaigns aimed at securing policy change and evaluating these for future learning
• Building relationships with senior external stakeholders and stakeholder mapping and management
• Building strong internal relationships with teams across an organisation and working collaboratively to secure change
• Meaningfully engaging people with lived experience in public affairs and campaigns work
• Developing insightful briefings for a range of audiences, for example parliamentarians and senior colleagues
• Leading and motivating a team
