Josh Babarinde MP and Eastbourne Lib Dems are looking for a Full Time Campaigns Manager

You’ll be working with Josh Babarinde OBE, the hugely popular Lib Dem MP for Eastbourne and Lib Dem Party President. Josh was elected in July 2024 with over 52% of the vote.

The Eastbourne Lib Dems have controlled Eastbourne Borough Council since 2007. In May 2026 the Lib Dems beat an insurgent Reform to win seven of the nine Eastbourne divisions in East Sussex County Council elections.. We regained Meads ward from the Greens and missed the Conservative held Ratton ward by just 40 votes. We are preparing for Unitary Authority elections scheduled for May 2027. Reform UK are now the largest party in East Sussex County Council so the challenge for control of the new Unitary Authority is very real.

We are on the hunt for a capable and experienced Campaigns Manager to build our campaign winning mojo, fire up a new team of activists and support a full slate of keen new candidates. We need you to ensure we are general election ready! Exciting challenge hey!

You’ll be guiding our campaigns strategically, project managing and planning, producing hard hitting campaign comms and powering up an army of activists. You’ll know how to get things done and you’ve got the enthusiasm and talent needed to build winning teams. You’ll care enough to get stuck in and make things work. You are a self starter.

You’re invested in ensuring that Lib Dem values of liberty, equality, democracy, community, human rights, internationalism and environmentalism continue to win hearts, minds and votes. Your efforts will inspire Conservative, Labour and Green supporters to find a genuinely attractive political home and a winning alternative to the divisive Reform UK.
