An exciting opportunity for a highly organised and detail-focused Constituency Assistant to join the busy constituency office of Daisy Cooper MP.

This role is central to the smooth running of the office, with responsibility for triaging incoming correspondence, coordinating the constituency diary, and providing high-quality administrative support. You will be the first point of contact for many constituents and local stakeholders, ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently, accurately, and sensitively.

This position would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent organisational skills, and takes pride in maintaining accurate records and systems.

Main Duties

  • Triage a high-volume inbox, ensuring all incoming correspondence are logged, categorised and assigned appropriately on the casework management system
  • Coordinate the MP’s busy constituency diary, scheduling meetings, surgeries and other events efficiently
  • Ensure the MP is well briefed for engagements, support visit logistics, take photo/video content, and take accurate notes with clear follow-up actions
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the office
  • Ensure all records and data are handled accurately and in compliance with data protection laws and office procedures
  • Act as a first point of contact for constituents, responding to straightforward enquiries and signposting where appropriate
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, government agencies and community organisations
  • Support the wider team with ad hoc administrative tasks and office organisation

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong administrative experience
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in data entry and record keeping
  • Confident managing inboxes, diaries and digital systems
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting colleagues and responding to changing priorities
