About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Consultant to join our Crisis & Reputation Management practice. Reporting to the Director of Crisis & Reputation Management, the successful candidate will support the delivery of services to Aretera's growing international client portfolio. Candidates with relevant language skills may have additional opportunities to contribute to geography-specific projects.
Responsibilities
- Research & analysis: Monitor and analyse media, political and reputational developments; prepare summaries, impact assessments and recommendations.
- Content development: Draft client-facing materials including press releases, white papers, Q&As, messaging documents, op-eds and briefing notes.
- Client support: Provide day-to-day account support; prepare reports and updates; assist in organising calls and client meetings across multi-market projects.
- Press office support: Maintain and develop media lists, draft media pitches, monitor incoming queries and coordinate timely responses.
- Internal functions: Support business development, AI development and other central team functions as required.
Requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English (mandatory).
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in communications, public relations, public affairs or journalism (consultancy or in-house).
- Strong writing skills, knowledge of current affairs and the media landscape; understanding of political or regulatory environments is an advantage.
- Client-oriented and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- University degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, International Relations, Law or a related field.
- Additional languages skills indigenous to Aretera's core markets (especially CEE) is preferred, but not required.
